Ghana has deployed 150 military personnel to a new United Nations peacekeeping mission, continuing the country's long tradition of contributing to global peace and security.
The troops, drawn from various Ghana Armed Forces units, will join peacekeepers from over 50 countries. Ghana's contribution includes infantry, medical personnel, and engineering units.
The Chief of Defense Staff emphasized that Ghana's participation reflects the country's commitment to multilateralism and international peace. The contingent underwent pre-deployment training at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra.
