Dangote Cement has announced a $200 million expansion of its Ghana operations, including a new production line at its Tema plant. The investment will increase capacity by 50% and create 500 direct and indirect jobs.
The expansion includes:
- New 2 million tonne production line
- Upgrade of existing facilities
- Distribution network expansion
- Alternative fuel capabilities
- CSR projects in host communities
The Ghana Country CEO cited the government's infrastructure development program as driving demand. Major projects including roads, housing, and industrialization are boosting cement consumption.
